Succesverhaal AniqueVandaag exact een jaar geleden had ik zoiets van; ‘Wil weer wat kilo’s kwijt raken en daarna verder om mijn lichaam in goede conditie te houden. Het jojo-gedoe ben ik zat, tijd voor actie met een blijvend resultaat.’ Aangezien ik Tom al heel wat jaren ken ging ik met Tom in gesprek om te kijken naar de mogelijkheden voor mij.

Samen met Tom heb ik een plan van aanpak gemaakt om het beste uit mezelf te kunnen halen en de gewenste resultaten te boeken. Tom gaf mij een trainingsschema op maat mee, een paar adviezen en handige tips over goed en verantwoord eten. Geen ingewikkeld of zwaar dieet, sapkuurtje of wat dan ook, maar weten wat je eet. Ik ging volop aan de bak en volgde naast de personal training ook extra groepslessen bij Tomfit.

De personal trainingen werden zwaarder en zijn vooral gefocust op krachttraining. En ja, ik heb ook ondervonden dat je als vrouw niet breder wordt door (zware) krachttraining. Het is een fabel en denkfout die ik ook eerst maakte. Als we krachttraining doen, zijn we vooral bezig het lichaam te shapen, wat betekent dat we de nadruk vooral op de benen, billen en buik leggen. Naast het voluit trainen kreeg ik meer controle over mijn voeding en bleef ik eindelijk consequent met alles. Dat motiveerde mij weer extra om door te gaan en mijn doel zeker te gaan halen.

Ik ben nu een jaar verder en ik kan met trots terugkijken op het afgelopen jaar en mijn behaalde resultaten. Het was een jaar met ups en downs maar ik heb gelukkig nooit opgegeven. Ik ben mijzelf een paar keer tegengekomen dat Tom moest ingrijpen en mij een spiegel voor moest houden. Het is dan ook een proces geweest waarin bij mij niet alleen fysiek maar ook mentaal veranderingen heeft plaatsgevonden. Ben mijzelf zelfs beter gaan leren kennen, maar het was het allemaal waard.

Na ruim 10 kg afgevallen te zijn en 6 cm op mijn buik kwijt te zijn voel ik mij veel energieker, fitter en slanker, en daar deed ik het voor. Nu is het de uitdaging om mijn lichaam in shape en gezond te houden en deze uitdaging ga ik graag aan bij TomFit.
